The starting point was the old collapsed Google Reader experience, to which we added:
1) overlay of an engagement number based on Google+ and Facebook sharing metadata.
2) a floating toolbar which appear when you hover on an entry to allow you to save the article for later or mark it as read and remove it from the list.
3) better keyboard navigation n/p and j/k.
This will just be a new view setting users will be able to apply to any category or source. There will be a preference knob to apply it globally.
If you currently use the feedly latest with the titles only view, we would love to hear your feedback. Our goal is to push a prototype of this out on Tuesday as part of the feedly 7.1 update.
